Biography

I'm a former U.S. Army officer and have worked for both the private sector and the U.S. Department of State in Iraq (including the Kurdistan Region).  I also spent several months in the former Yugoslavia, mainly Bosnia and Herzegovina, studying the post-war period there.

I graduated from Georgetown University with a bachelor's in Government and am a currently a Master's Candidate in International Development Policy at Duke University's Sanford School of Public Policy in Durham, North Carolina.  My research interests are in metrics and monitoring progress in stabilization situations as an aid to situational awareness, campaign design, and decision making.  I'm also very interested in economics, particulary as it relates to conflict.
